The New River Marina Story ...

For over 15 years New River Marina provided a wide variety of marine related services, boat dockage and storage to the South Florida boating community.

In 2008 New River Marina was acquired by Fort Lauderdale businessman-entrepreneur Alex Nichols.  Mr. Nichols formed New River Marina LLC and, in July of 2009, hired John Connor as general manager.  Together they decided to "reinvent" the marina and create a "brand new shipyard experience" dedicated to quality service at fair and competitive prices.

The desire to add a sales division resulted in The Trawler Center, a new yacht brokerage and in October 2009, David Miller joined the team as a yacht broker.  Shortly thereafter, New River Yacht Sales was added to the roster.  Now, with two in-house brokerages in place, New River Marina LLC became a full-service marine facility.

Today, the "new" New River Marina LLC is growing and is on the move!  Our goal is to become one of the major shipyards in south Florida and to serve the entire boating public one customer at a time with a level of customer service second to none. 

The company is active in several marine related groups including the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and the Marina Mile Association, is a member the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the local Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

New River Marina LLC is conveniently located in a "Safe Harbor" just off the South Fork of the New River at 3001 West State Road 84, in the heart of "Marina Mile" within close proximity to all major highways in Broward County Florida, including I-95, I-595, I-75, State Road 84 and State Road 7 (US 441).  The Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades are just minutes away.
